Feature Creep Definition

Feature Creep

Feature Creep — adding additional features to existing solutions making it more comprehensive for perception and use by customers. This problem refers not only to UX design and software development but also to project management when it comes to exceeded budget and lack of planning, and the tricky moment comes when you have already established your product and now have to add additional features.

It’s also challenging when you want to add features and make your digital solution more functional but simultaneously deviate from your priority task. It can be detrimental to your product and cause problems with development process, teamwork, etc. As for the avoidance of this problem, it’s simply knowing your end-users and their expectations, in-delth research and product vision.
